Charity shop haul

Please excuse the bad lighting in the following pictures, they were taken in the evening and my living room lighting is awful!

Hi peeps. As it was a Saturday I decided to pop into town after work and have a look around the charity shops, I have to say I was a little disappointed. I found no books for the kids, nor clothes or toys (they were either not in their size, far too damaged or something they wouldn't like) however I did manage to set myself a few little things.

1. A weekly planner. As a working mummy (or just a mum in general) this is a must for me. Normally I have a family planner calender but I didn't buy one this year. This fits perfectly on my desk and I love the vintage tea set design - well tea is my thing. You can buy these here I got this one for £2.99.

2. A pair of touch screen gloves. I don't actually have a touch screen phone, but that isn't why I brought them. My hands were freezing and I'd left my gloves at home. This red pair cost me £1.99.

 3. Books. The Stranger by Camilla Lackberg and The real thing by Catherine Alliot. I am a sucker for the book section in any charity shop, but I have also found I am a "judge by the cover" kind of a person, which I didn't think I was (only when it comes to books) If I see a nice cover then I pick it up and read the blurb before getting it. The stranger was £1.99 and the real thing I got for 99p.

4. Wild rose soap and lotion set. Bath items don't need explaining, I love them. This little set cost me £2.49, which is actually quite expensive for a charity shop I think.

Charity shop haul

 Shopping trip, Saturday 26th April
 Tesco 'I love pugs' T-shirt - £1.99
This is actually in a 6-7 years but it was just too cute to not buy, plus it will last that little bit longer. Eva isn't actually a fan of Pugs, she likes them yes but that's as far as it goes.
George at Asda 'Robot dancing' outfit - £1
Tiny Ted ip front hoodie - £1.25
Both of these are in 9-12 months, but at 7 months Archie is already fitting into some 9 month clothing. I haven't got him any jackets that fit him yet so I had to buy this.
 Books all 99p each.
Duck soaps - £1.59
Mini bath bombs - 99p
I am re doing my house at the moment and the bathroom is a kind of vintage / retro feel. These super cute duck soaps aren't to use but instead shall be displayed in the bathroom. The bath bombs however, will be.

Charity shop haul

Saturday shopping, normally means heading to the local charity shops and having a look around. I love old unique things, I'm also looking for some gorgeous jars / tins for all my baking bits. This week I only managed two shops - we had other plans for the afternoon and I normally spend 30 mins in each shop. The photo above shows my little haul - minus the Barbie doll I brought as Eva was playing with it when I took this photo.

Amaretti Virginia buscuit tin
Brought for £1.50.
After looking for this tin on the internet I have found one selling for £8.96 on Ebay.
I fell in love with this tin after seeing it, it's beautiful. I adore the vintage design, although the date on the bottom of the tin says 2005, so it's actually a new tin the design is the same as the one the company started using in 1860. I was going to use it to store pasta, then I remembered nobody in my house eats pasta so that would be pointless. I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet.

Autograph at Marks and Spencer shirt 75p
StMichael at Marks and Spencer t-shirt 75p
On the M&S website a shirt from the same range is £10 new and the T-shirt is £8.

 7.0mm Needles £1.99
& chunky wool barley shade £2.49

Barbie doll £1.50
This is the old style Barbie with bendy legs at the knees. My daughter has quite a few of the news one and they are no longer bendy. Barbies these days are between £10 - £20 depending on the type. The hair is matted but a quick sprits of Laundry softener with sort this out & leave the Barbie smelling fresh.
